Fake Grass For Drought Protection
Fake Grass For Drought Protection
People spend hours, days and weeks of their lives trying to grow and maintain a beautiful lawn. They lay the surface, plant, fertilize and water – then when the lawn looks lush and beautiful they mow it. When you think about it, this growing and mowing becomes a vicious cycle of work. It may look nice for a season, but then along comes Mother Nature with a roaring drought and your lovely lawn dies due to water restrictions. Or maybe there is a flood that leaves several inches of mud over the grass that you tended so carefully – and spent so many dollars growing. So do you start all over again, or do you look for an alternative? Many people choose to look for a fake grass alternative that laughs at dry weather.
Fake grass looks good all the time. No beetles eat it and weeds cannot grow in it. You don’t need to spend your few days off work watering and mowing it. It is the ideal alternative to real grass. Just think of all the time, effort and money you will save over the years once fake grass has been laid. Many areas that have suffered from drought now look brown and horrible with no green oasis to relax on during the weekend. The dirt that was once your lawn not only grows a few straggly weeds and thistles, but also creates pollution in the atmosphere – and in your house – from the dust. You hang out the washing only to have the next gust of wind whip up fine debris that adheres in an almost invisible layer to the clothes, possibly causing allergy and asthma problems.
Fake grass will not only stop those bare, brown dust patches blowing onto your washing, it will make your home and garden look as if there is no such thing as drought. And it will save a great deal of the earth’s precious water resources too.
